2025 NYSHD & Regional Contest Registration Information & Instructions:

March TBA 2025: Contest Registration Opens
March TBA 2025 at 7:00 PM: State Contest Registration Deadline
ALL WRITTEN MATERIALS must be submitted by the March 28th deadline. If you are competing in the Website, Paper, or Documentary category, you also need to upload all of your project materials in order to be judged.
Please note: the first round of website, paper, and documentary judging will begin before the contest date and will be done virtually. Students and judges do not need to be on campus until the TBA!
April TBA 2025: New York State History Day Contest at SUNY Oneonta
Contest Registration Fee Payment:
Please Note: Students who have not paid their registration fee prior to the contest will NOT be allowed to participate in the State contest.
We request that participants pay their registration fee by CHECK. Please make your checks out to "Research Foundation for SUNY Oneonta" and include "NYSHD" and either your student name or school name in the memo line.
